The last match of the tournament brought Switzerland up against Ireland – a team we knew was on equal strength. From the first whistle, the girls fought hard in what remained a balanced and competitive game for long stretches.
In the decisive moments, however, the difference came down to experience and freshness. Ireland pulled away, and the match ended in a 10–6 defeat for Switzerland.
